NORTH LANARKSHIRE HALF MARATHON

RUN NL are delighted to be once again hosting our Half Marathon event Sponsored by Albert Bartlett for 2026. 

This Half Marathon event shall see participants aged 16 years+ enter a unique race event that will be showcased through an exciting route within the Motherwell and surrounding areas. 

The event is officially chip timed with start and finish points based at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility.

The entry fee shall include, Half Marathon T-shirt, Fruit,Water, Cereal Bars and Hydration Gels.   

In addition to the Half Marathon offer, there will be a 5K route incorporated to allow anyone from age 12 + to enter an official chip timed event with the route specifically designed to have both start and finish points based at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility.

In addition to the races, the Family Fun Zone will be open throughout the day, featuring bouncy castles, trampolines, face painting, and a variety of "Come & Try" sports sessions. There will also be live music, entertainment, food vendors, refreshment stands, and merchandise stalls offering something for everyone to enjoy.

View the detailed maps for the 2025 Half Marathon and 5K below. We are expecting the 2026 route to be the same but the final maps will be available in coming months.

Each route starts and finishes at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility and highlights key points along the way through Motherwell and surrounding areas.

Cumbernauld 10k

CUMBERNAULD 10K

SUNDAY 14th SEPTEMBER 2025, BROADWOOD STADIUM 

In partnership with Suicide Prevention, the Cumbernauld 10k is a family community running event based at Broadwood Stadium in Cumbernauld.

The event is delivered by Active & Creative Communities within North Lanarkshire Council under the new brand RUN NL. 

Alongside the Main 10k road race there are a number of other races taking place, all times can be found below. 

  • 10k Run - 10.55am
  • 5k Run - 10.50 am
  • 1k Run - 10.25am
  • 400m dash - 10.10am
  • 100m toddler dash -10am
  • Victory Mile Walk - 11am

All participants shall receive a prized medal and race pack

Road Closures

On the day there will be road closures in and around Broadwood, Blackwood, and Westfield. Please keep this in mind when planning your journey on Sunday. There will be diversions in place.

Road closures will be lifted during the race time at various points once runners have passed certain road points to minimise disruption operating through a rolling road closure system.

Activity Fun Zone

Throughout the day there will be a range of free fun activities, including bouncy castles and "come and try sport" activities for all the family to enjoy!!
