Waterpark Reopening

The Time Capsule waterpark closed in March 2025 to complete an initial phase of redevelopment, focused on essential upgrades to the plantroom including control panels, electrical systems and replacing the pumps, and improvements to the waterpark including water features and lighting.

As we near the end of the first phase of work, we are delighted to confirm the waterpark is anticipated to reopen late July.

This phase of work has focused on future proofing the venue to allow us to continue to improve the visitor experience.

Completed as part of phase 1:

  • Replacing old pumps and air blowers across every area from waterfalls and river rapids to bubble seats and geysers
  • Fully upgraded obsolete electrical control panels
  • Replaced over 1 miles of outdated wiring
  • New Underwater LED Colour Changing Lights: Enhanced ambiance and visual appeal in the pool areas.
  • Replacement of Rubber Crumb Flooring: Improved safety and comfort at Splashdown Island and Coral Cove with fresh, durable surfaces.
  • Pool Tank Re-grouting and Tile Repairs: Restored aesthetics and functionality, ensuring a clean and safe swimming environment.
  • Repairs and Resurfacing of River Rapid Slides: Enhanced safety and improved ride quality for an exhilarating experience.
  • Upgraded Shower Areas: Modernised facilities for a better swimmer experience.
  • Early start on Phase 2: Significant structural improvements to the Flume staircase have already begun. Laying the groundwork for future enhancements.

While phase 1 of the project near completion, some of the main features will not be looked at until phase 2. Timing for phase 2 will be confirmed in due course and will include:

  • Replacing the tipping bucket
  • Enhancing the flumes
