HEALTH WEEK
Active NL are very excited to be bringing Health Week to North Lanarkshire!
We have a whole host of activities taking place at our Active NL venues between 18 – 22 September, including pop up yoga, Menofit taster sessions and squat technique classes.
These activities are all in celebration of National Fitness Day which takes place on Wednesday 20 September. On this date, we are offering free entry to all gyms and classes and are hosting a rowing challenge across venues.

Menofit - Information and promotion session
Whether you are peri or post-menopausal - or just want to learn more on the subject - Menofit is a great way for ladies to come together and help each other through what can be a challenging life stage!
Menofit aims to equip ladies with the best possible knowledge and information on how to deal with symptoms of the menopause.

Nutrition
According to recent survey “68% of people have changed their weekly shopping patterns due to cost of living. 26% of people now have concerns about being able to afford enough fruit and veg to ensure their family eats well”.

Sessions will include:
- An eating well on a budget booklet
- A selection of low cost recipes
- A free body analysis (bodyfat measurement)
- Information on living sustainably and a fresh and frozen food breakdown
- Opportunity to chat about your own diet/lifestyle with our qualified nutritionist

Squat Technique Classes
We will be running free squat technique classes throughout the week. All classes will be 45 minutes and the classes will cover a range of squat techniques with accessory work. Sessions will be bookable online.

Wednesday
On this date we will be offering free gym and fitness classes all day and we will also be running a rowing challenge at all venues. This will be open to everyone and will run from 6am to 10pm. Please note that fitness classes will be subject availability.
Thursday
- Tryst – 10:30am, 1:30pm, 7:30pm
- Sir Matts – 10:30am, 1:30pm, 7:30pm
Friday
- Broadwood – 10:30am, 1pm, 6pm
