Power is personal training in a small group environment in our new power studio within Wishaw sports centre.

There will be 3 class elements (Burn, HIIT and Box). These classes will be run using the Myzone heart rate system.

Myzone is designed to personalise your workout based on your profile. The system will gauge the effectiveness of each workout by providing details such as intensity, calorific expenditure and heart rate recovery.

Power explained

Power Burn is a 30/45 minute session which will consist of prolonged intervals working at a moderate heart rate.

Power HIIT will be a 30 minute session which will consist of short intense period of training at a high heart rate level.

Power Box will be a 30/45 minute session with a fitness and boxing element. The boxing will consist of basic techniques using our new Aqua bags and pads. The heart rate intensity will vary in these sessions.

To participate in Power classes you must own a Myzone belt as this is integral to the structure of the classes.

If you do not own a belt you can purchase one from Wishaw reception for £80.
