HALF MARATHON ROAD RACE

North Lanarkshire's Half Marathon will take place on Sunday 23 August, starting and ending at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility.

We are committed to ensuring the half marathon event is delivered safely and efficiently for everyone involved, as well as for those in the surrounding areas. While we recognise that the event will cause disruption, it will also unite runners and communities from across North Lanarkshire and beyond, establishing a major event for the region.

Traffic management plans will be in operation prior to and for the duration of the event. Preparations will begin from approximately 4am on Sunday 23 August, and will continue to be in operation until approximately 4pm, however, closures and restrictions will begin to be lifted as a rolling process following the marathon route.

We are working closely with multiple agencies to minimise the disruption to residents and local businesses; however, we ask you to be prepared in advance for the restrictions.
