Ravenscraig Backyard Ultra 2027

The Ravenscraig Backyard Ultra brings a different experience to the world of ultra running. Taking place at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility on 3 July, runners will tackle a 4.2 mile loop every hour, on the hour, for as long as they can keep going.

The format is simple: complete each lap within the hour, be ready at the start line for the next one and keep going until only one runner remains.

What makes Ravenscraig special is what happens between the laps. Based within a fully equipped indoor leisure facility, runners will have access to a dedicated indoor camp area, offering a comfortable space to rest, refuel and regroup between yards. With proper indoor toilets, hot showers and an on-site café, participants can escape the elements, recharge and prepare for the next challenge.

It’s a backyard ultra with a little more comfort between the miles but the challenge itself is every bit as tough.

One lap at a time, until we find THE LAST ONE STANDING.
